At TapType, your privacy is a foundational design choice, not an afterthought.
All test results, historical metrics, and user preferences are stored exclusively inside your browser's localStorage. No keystroke logs, personal identifiers, or typing results are transmitted to external servers.
TapType does not require you to create an account, register an email, or accept tracking cookies. You can use the entire platform anonymously.
You have complete control over your stored test history. You can clear individual results or wipe your entire history at any time from the Progress page, or by clearing your browser cache.
The application is delivered as static assets. When you use the typing engine, all input processing, timing, and metric calculations execute 100% locally in your browser.
